Oto Pestner (born January 4, 1956 in Celje , Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian singer and musician .

Life

Pestner, a member of the Sinti ethnic group , was the leader of the New Swing Quartet, a Slovenian singing group, from 1970 to the end of 2008.

In the German-speaking area he is known as the singer of the Alpenoberkrainer , of which he was a member between 1986 and 1991 and 1995. During this time 10 records were produced, some of which Pestner also appeared as a composer. For marketing reasons the record company VM-records changed his first name to Otto.

He produced several songs for the young Slovenian up-and-coming band Dori.

Pestner now lives in Ljubljana , the capital of Slovenia.
