Otto-Raban Heinichen

Otto-Raban Heinichen (born January 9, 1932 in Celle ) is a German lawyer and diplomat . He was the German ambassador to Hungary (1993–1996).

Life

Heinichen studied law and became a member of Corps Suevia Tübingen in 1954 . In 1964 he started at the law faculty of the University of Hamburg with the dissertation The legal bases of the traveler's check traffic. Investigation according to German law and presentation of American, Italian and French literature and case law on the traveler's check for Dr. jur. PhD.

After completing his studies in 1964, he entered the higher service at the Federal Ministry of Economics .

In 1967 he moved to the Foreign Office . He worked in the economic services of the German Embassy in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the German Embassy in Rangoon (Burma). From 1973 to 1978 he worked at the headquarters in Bonn. From 1978 to 1981 he was head of the economic services at the German Embassy Tokyo (Japan). Afterwards he was head of division in the economic department. From 1984 to 1989 it was used in the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EC in Brussels. In 1989 he became permanent representative at the German Embassy in Paris (France). From 1993 to 1996 he was the German ambassador in Budapest (Hungary).

In 1995 he became an honorary member of the German Business Club Budapest.
