Otto Beyer (born November 13, 1869 in Nuremberg ; † April 4, 1929 there ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Beyer studied after visiting the Erlanger school law in Erlangen and Berlin . During his studies in 1899 he became a member of the Germania Erlangen fraternity . In 1893 he passed his exams, was accepted into the civil service in 1896 and had worked as a lawyer in Nuremberg since 1897 . He was a member of the National Liberal Party . From 1911 to 1919 he was a member of the Nuremberg Community College. In the First World War he took part as a captain , later as a major in the reserve and was battalion commander in the 3rd battalion in the 14th Infantry Regiment , with which he took part in the summer battle . Most recently he was wounded in the Charlottenburg hospital . From 1919 to 1924 he was a member of the Nuremberg city ​​council . In 1918 he joined the German Democratic Party , then the German People's Party , for which he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1928 to 1929 .
