Otto Carl Mohr

Otto Carl Mohr (born September 24, 1883 ; † May 30, 1970 in Hellerup ) was a Danish lawyer and diplomat .

Mohr received his state examination in law in 1909 and became an employee of the East Asia Company (Østasiatiske Kompagni). In 1913 he moved to the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs , where he quickly made a career. From 1936 he was director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from 1941 until the end of the war ambassador to the Danish embassy in Berlin . Mohr was involved in the rescue operation of the White Buses .

After the Second World War , Mohr was the Danish ambassador in Rome from 1947 and in Madrid in 1951 . He retired in 1953. Mohr received numerous awards, including the Dannebrogorden .
