Otto Dietrich von Gemmingen

Otto Dietrich von Gemmingen (born October 19, 1647 at Guttenberg Castle , † October 8, 1695 in Fürfeld ) was the landlord in Fürfeld and Guttenberg Castle. He is the progenitor of the Guttenberg-Fürfeld branch of the Gemmingen-Guttenberg line of the Barons of Gemmingen .

Life

He was the son of Dietrich von Gemmingen (1584–1659) and his fourth wife Eva Margdalena von Fechenbach (1604–1688). While his older half-brother Pleikard Dietrich von Gemmingen (1628 / 29–1695) received the family seat in Gemmingen from his father's third marriage to Juliane Sibylle von und zu Eltz (1587–1635) , Otto Dietrich inherited Guttenberg Castle from his father. After 1678 he came over the legacy of Weirich von Gemmingen (1622-1678) from the Bonfeld branch of the family also in the possession of Fürfeld, which he shared with his brother Bernolf Dietrich (1644-1689) until his death.

His first marriage from 1674 to Anna Rosina von Ellrichshausen (1638–1676) and his second marriage to Marie Magdalene von Neipperg (1653–1693). The son Johann Dietrich from his first marriage continued the Guttenberg-Fürfeld branch of the barons of Gemmingen .
