Otto Hermann Kratzsch

Otto Hermann Kratzsch (* December 30, 1840 , † December 5, 1880 ) was a German businessman and founder of the traditional drug store "Otto H. Kratzsch" in Chemnitz , a drugstore .

Life

Otto H. Kratzsch was a pastor's son from Altenburg. His company supplied factories with technical drugs and paints. Pomades, mouthwashes, ointments and plasters were sold in the shop. Branded articles were unknown at the time, the manufacture of such products was based on our own recipes.

Companies

On February 15, 1872, Otto Hermann Kratzsch bought a residential and commercial building at the address Markt 10 with a shop for 22,500 thalers and named it "Otto H. Kratzsch drug vault".

In just a few years, during the period of economic prosperity in the 1870s, he brought the company to success and established its reputation as a drug vault far beyond Chemnitz.

Otto Hermann Kratzsch died on December 5, 1880, his grave is in the city cemetery in Chemnitz.
