Otto I. (Schaumburg)

Otto I. (* approx. 1330; † 1404 ) was the son of Adolf VII. Von Holstein-Pinneberg . He ruled Holstein-Pinneberg and the County of Schauenburg as the successor to his eldest brother, Adolf VIII. , From 1366 to 1404. He was married to Mathilde von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, widow of Duke Ludwig I of Braunschweig-Lüneburg and daughter of Wilhelm II. , Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg . The couple had the following children:

  • Adolf IX (* around 1370; † October 9, 1426) ⚭ August 18, 1378 Countess Helene von Hoya († November 23, 1414), parents of Otto II.
  • Wilhelm (1379-1391)
  • Elisabeth ⚭ Bernhard von Dorstadt
  • Adelheid ⚭ Dietrich von Hohnstein († 1417)
