Otto Kähler (economist)

Otto Kähler (born April 17, 1905 in Landkirchen , Holstein; † September 11, 1983 ) was a German economist.

Career

Kähler was the son of the teacher Heinrich Kähler. He came to the Reichsbank in 1931 . From 1951 he was a director at the Landeszentralbank Schleswig-Holstein. Later he was its vice-president and from 1960 to 1971 president. From 1960 to 1973 he was a member of the Central Bank Council of the Deutsche Bundesbank . In early May 1973 he retired.
