Otto Keunecke

Heinrich Conrad Otto Keunecke (born October 9, 1882 in Vallstedt , † February 20, 1962 in Thune ) was a German farmer and politician ( DDP ).

Life

Otto Keunecke was born the son of a farmer and master blacksmith. After attending secondary school in Braunschweig, he learned his father's craft, passed the master's examination and then worked as a master blacksmith. In addition, he worked as a farmer, was a member of the parish council of Wenden-Thune and was a member of the board of directors of the Braunschweig Chamber of Agriculture.

Keunecke joined the DDP during the Weimar Republic and was a member of the Braunschweig Landtag from 1922 to 1930 . From 1929 to 1933 he was the mayor of Thune.

After the National Socialists came to power , Keunecke was removed from office and temporarily imprisoned.

After 1945 he acted as director of the department for agriculture and forestry in the Brunswick State Ministry.

Otto Keunecke had been married since 1903 and had two children.
