Otto Krüger (chemist)

Otto Krüger (born August 13, 1895 in Euskirchen , † November 29, 1973 in Thale ) was a German chemist and scientist in the field of enamel technology .

Life

After completing his chemistry studies at the University of Bonn , he received his doctorate in 1924. He then entered the service of Eisen- und Hüttenwerke Thale, where he mainly dealt with the problems of enamelling technology. His specialty was the highly acid-resistant enamelling of chemical apparatus . In addition, he also dealt with research tasks.

For his success in the development and selection of enamel raw materials , he was awarded the National Prize, Second Class, for Science and Technology in 1949 . Otto Krüger endeavored to pass on his specialist knowledge and practical experience through publications and lectures.
