Otto Kyndel
Otto Herbert Kyndel (born March 3, 1904 in Lillkyrka , † June 11, 1983 in Nykvarn ) was a Swedish violinist and music teacher .
As a violinist, Kyndell was a student of Henri Marteau and Charles Barkel . From 1920 to 1933 he was a member of the orchestra association in Norrköping . From 1928 he was the first concertmaster there . He then played in the Swedish Film Industry Orchestra and from 1939 to 1959 in the Swedish Radio Orchestra . In 1941 he founded the Kyndelkvartetten . With this chamber music ensemble he has given concerts in Europe, North and South America as well as in Australia. Kyndel was considered one of the leading Swedish violin soloists. From 1946 he taught at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm .
