Otto Möbes

Otto Möbes (born March 5, 1879 in Hecklingen , Bernburg district , † December 2, 1963 in Graz ) was an Austrian trade unionist and social democratic politician in Styria .

Möbes, who came from the trade union for private employees , was Vice President of the Styrian Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees in Graz from 1922 to 1934 , and he was also a municipal councilor in Graz from 1924 to 1934. From 1945 to 1953 he was president of the Chamber of Labor for Styria, from 1946 to 1953 also city councilor in Graz, and from 1947 also held a senior position in the energy supply company STEWEAG . An educational institution of the Styrian AK in Grazer Stiftingtal bears his name.
