Otto Nutritious

Otto Alois Michael Nahrhaft (born July 16, 1880 in Vienna ; † February 7, 1956 in Baden ) was President of the Vienna Regional Criminal Court.

Life

After completing his studies, Nahrhaft was a judge and public prosecutor; among other things, he was the first public prosecutor at Criminal Court I. Then he was president of the district court in Krems . After the annexation of Austria , he was retired with reduced salaries.

After the period of National Socialism he returned to the judicial service and in 1945 was entrusted with the management of the criminal regional court and people's court in Vienna. In 1946 he became President of the Regional Court for Criminal Matters Vienna . Several death sentences were passed under his chairmanship, including a. also the last death sentence carried out under Austrian law against Johann Trnka .

At the end of 1950, Nahrhaft's career ended for reasons of age, but he continued to work as a lawyer.
