Otto Schünemann

Otto Schünemann (born October 6, 1891 in Doberan ; died June 29, 1944 near Mogilew , Soviet Union ) was a German officer , most recently Lieutenant General in World War II .

Life

Schünemann served as an officer in the First World War and was retired from service after its end. During the Weimar Republic he worked in the police service. With the German rearmament, Schünemann switched to the Wehrmacht and served, among other things, as a commander in the 337th Infantry Division during World War II . He was killed on June 29, 1944 during Operation Bagration .
