Otto Schmidt (born April 11, 1878 in Nordhausen , † after 1942) was a German politician (DNVP). Schmidt is not to be confused with his party colleague Otto Schmidt-Hannover , who also called himself Otto Schmidt at times.

Life

Schmidt attended high school in Nordhausen in the Harz region. From December 1895 he earned his living as a civilian supernumerar at the Royal Railway Directorate in Breslau . He was later used in the railway districts of Danzig , Königsberg and Stettin .

After the First World War , he joined the German National People's Party (DNVP). In 1919 Schmidt became a member of the Prussian state assembly , in which he sat until 1921.

In the Reichstag elections of June 1920 , he was 6 (Pomerania) as a candidate of his party for the constituency in the Reichstag voted, of which he was subsequently until September 1930th In the Reichstag handbook he gives the job title Reichsbahnamtmann.

Schmidt is listed in the address book for Stettin in 1938 and 1943 as a Reichsbahn official residing at Zachariasgang 1.
