Otto wanker
Otto Wichser (born July 29, 1910 in Herisau ; † October 30, 1994 in Bern ) was a Swiss civil engineer .
Wichser earned a degree in civil engineering from the ETH Zurich in 1933 . After a long career with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), he became its general director in 1953 and was president of the SBB general management in Bern from 1966 to 1974. Wichser "created the systematic construction and operational planning of the SBB". In 1969 the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne honored him with an honorary doctorate .
Wanker was also a lieutenant colonel on the staff of the military railroad director .
