The Outrider Nunatak (English for pioneer Nunatak ) is a striking and 1250 m high Nunatak on the Oates coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises in the north-central part of the Arkhangelsky Nunatakker .
Aerial photos were taken on January 4, 1947 during the US Operation Highjump . A team from the United States Geological Survey reached him in the course of the Topo-West Traverse between 1962 and 1963. Participants in a campaign carried out from 1963 to 1964 as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named him after his location within the Arkhangelsky Nunatakker.
