Over is Peter Hammill's sixth solo album and was recorded from June 27 to July 4, 1976 at Foel Studios. The final mixing took place July 5-14, 1976 at Rockfield Studios, Monmouthshire. It is a very personal album that addresses Hammill's separation from his then partner. Most of the music is recorded solo.
