Owe Ohlsson

Owe Ohlsson (born August 19, 1938 in Hälsö ) is a former Swedish football player who was also a coach and board member.

career

Ohlsson began playing football at Hälsö BK in 1948 . In 1954 he joined IFK Göteborg . For the club he played 165 games in the Allsvenskan . He scored 101 goals. In 1958 he became Swedish champion. In 1958 and 1961 he was second in the list of goalscorers.

In 1964 Ohlsson moved to AIK Solna . The player, who had been retrained from a striker to a defender, scored 23 goals in 154 first division appearances. In 1972 he went to IFK Stockholm , where he worked as a player-coach until 1974. In 1975 he became a youth coach at AIK.

Ohlsson played 15 for the Swedish national team between 1958 and 1964 . He took part with the national selection in the 1958 World Cup, in which the team was runner-up.

In the 1980s he was on the board of AIK Solna, briefly as chairman of the board in 1989.
