Owen Rand Kenan
Owen Rand Kenan (born March 4, 1804 in Kenansville , Duplin County , North Carolina , † March 3, 1887 ibid) was an American politician in the 19th century . He was the cousin of Augustus Holmes Kenan .
He held a seat in the State Legislature of North Carolina between 1834 and 1838 . After the secession of his home state in 1861, he represented that state in the 1st Confederate Congress .
Kenan died in Kenansville in 1887 and was then buried there in Graham Cemetery .
