Koral Blue was an Egyptian charter airline based in Cairo .

history

Koral Blue was founded in 2006 as a joint venture between the Tunisian Carthage Airlines and the Egyptian conglomerate Orascom . The first flight was carried out on March 27, 2007 from Sharm El Sheikh to Katowice and Warsaw .

In 2008, Koral Blue received the IOSA safety certificate from the international aviation organization IATA .

In February 2011, Koral Blue ceased operations as a result of the drop in bookings related to the revolution in Egypt .

From Sharm El-Sheikh , Hurghada and other Egyptian airports, various European destinations were chartered to, for example Lyon , Hamburg , Stuttgart , Milan and Bucharest .
