Owusu Ampomah (born February 6, 1985 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player. He is a striker and played for SC Freiburg between 2004 and 2008 . Ampomah is considered a fast, athletic and dynamic player.
Career
Like his former teammate and coach with the amateurs, Ibrahim Tanko , Ampomah was at the Kumasi Envoys football school. In 2004 he was signed by the German professional club SC Freiburg . Ibrahim Tanko, who was already playing there at the time, made contact with the SC.
After Ampomah was used for two years in the second team of SC Freiburg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , he made his debut in the 2006/07 season in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 2008 his contract with SC Freiburg expired and was no longer renewed. He then returned to Ghana and joined the Liberty Professionals . In mid-2009 he moved to the Cornerstones Kumasi .
