Oxana Alexandrovna Akinschina ( Russian Оксана Александровна Акиньшина ; born April 19, 1987 in Leningrad ) is a Russian actress .

Life

She attended her first auditions when she was twelve. In Russia she played minor roles in television productions. The director and actor Sergei Sergejewitsch Bodrov discovered her in 2001 for the feature film " Сёстры " ( Eng . Unequal Sisters ). A leading role in Lukas Moodysson's Lilja 4-ever (2002) made her known abroad.

She was honored as Best Actress at various film festivals in 2002 and 2003 , including a nomination for the European Film Awards 2002. During the filming of Lilja 4-ever , she needed an interpreter at all times because she could not speak English or Swedish to communicate with the director communicate.

The success of the film and her acting performance earned her a supporting role (as Irena Neski ) in the German-American production The Bourne Conspiracy from 2004. In the film, she plays the daughter of the murdered Russian politician Neski and his wife. Her appearance is limited to about three to five minutes, whereby she speaks very little - partly Russian, partly English.

In 2003 Akinschina starred in the Russian hit movie "Igry Motylkow" ( Russian Игры Мотыльков ). During the filming, she met the Russian musician, actor and director Sergei Schnurow (known as the front man of the Leningrad group ), with whom she was dating until 2007.

In 2006 she played Princess Helen in the film "Волкодав из рода Серых Псов" (English: "Wolfhound").

Akinschina was married to a Russian businessman named Dmitri Litvinov from 2007 to 2010. She has a son with him.
