The Oxtongue Lake is a lake in the north-eastern tip of the circle Haliburton County in Ontario , Canada .
Its deepest point is approximately 90 feet (30 meters) deep. The Oxtongue River flows through it.
Not far from the lake are the Oxtongue River Ragged Falls , which are well worth seeing . The lake is near the east portal to Algonquin Provincial Park on Ontario Highway 60 west of the city of Dwight . The next largest city, Huntsville (Ontario), is about 30 km to the west. The lake is popular with tourists for hiking, canoeing and in autumn because of the Indian summer with its discoloration of leaves.
