Oyon Marius Claude Amba

Oyon Marius Claude Amba (born February 17, 1987 ) is a Cameroonian chess player .

Life

At the University of Yaoundé II he studied economics with a Bachelor in International Economics in 2007, a Master in Business Mathematics in 2008, a Master of Science in Econometrics in 2012 and a doctorate from 2014.

successes

At the 2014 zone tournament in Yaoundé , he received the title of International Master for his score of 7.5 points from 9 games . He finished second behind the Ghanaian Francis Eric Anquandah . At the Ngola Master Classic in Yaoundé 2015, Amba also finished second.

For the national team of Cameroon, Amba took part in the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Tromsø on the reserve board and made six appearances there.

His highest Elo rating was 1911 in January 2017, but he is listed as inactive as he has not played an Elo-rated game since the Ngola Master Classic tournament in May 2015.
