The Pontifical College of St. Ephrem ( it . : Collegio Sant'Efrem ) in Rome is a papal college . It was inaugurated and opened on March 8, 2003 by the Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches , Cardinal Ignatius Moussa I Daoud .

At this educational institution , priests of the Arabic language from the Eastern Catholic Churches are to expand their studies. The institute is located in Rome, at Via Boccea 480, in a wing of the Pontifical Ukrainian Institute Santa Maria del Patrocino . The college chose the holy Doctor of the Church Ephrem from Syria as its patron saint . The college is subordinate to the Congregation for the Eastern Churches. The current rector is the Iraqi prelate Husam Shaabo.
