Ahrweiler BC was founded in 1920 under the name of the Ahrweiler 1920 football club . The club played their first game on February 14, 1920. This ended 6: 6. The second leg was lost 4-2. Between 1920 and 1925, the FV Ahrweiler only played friendly games. On March 10, 1925, the name was changed to Ahrweiler Ballspiel Club. In 2013 the syndicate between the two clubs was dissolved when SC 07 had to file for bankruptcy.
