Pärt Uusberg
Pärt Uusberg (born December 16, 1986 in Rapla , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian composer and choir director . As an actor , he became known as Joosep in the movie Klass .
Uusberg grew up in Rapla, where he sang in his mother Urve Uusberg 's children's choir . During his school days he started with the theater and received several awards, including a. at the Betti Alver Literature Days 2002 and 2003 as well as at the State School Theater Festival 2004 in Narva . Uusberg studied choral conducting with Heli Jürgenson in Tallinn and completed his bachelor's degree in 2009; In 2014 she obtained a master's degree in composition with Tõnu Kõrvits and in 2018 in choral conducting with Tõnu Kaljuste .
In 2019 Uusberg composed the theme music for the 27th Lauluja tantsupidu . In 2020 he was appointed Artistic Director of the 13th Youth Song Festival, which will take place in July 2022.
His brother Uku Uusberg is also an actor. His father Valter Uusberg is an animation film director .
