Career

Hansen jumped in the newly created Continental Cup (COC) from 1991 . After he was able to achieve his first success there, he was nominated for the first time on March 11, 1992 for a jumping in the Ski Jumping World Cup in his native Norway. In Trondheim he reached the 51st place on the large hill. In the 1992/93 Continental Cup season , he achieved 16th place, the best placement of his career in the overall COC ranking. When ski flying on the Kulm , he achieved World Cup points for the first time in January 1993 with 20th place. He then jumped exclusively in the World Cup for three more years before he competed again in a World Cup competition on February 17, 1996. On the large hill in Iron Mountain , he again achieved World Cup points in 26th place. In the second competition, however, he clearly missed this with 56th place. On March 15, 1996 he was in Oslo with the second place in the team competition for the first time and last time on the podium in a World Cup competition. After just missing the points two days later on the same hill in 33rd place, he finished the 1995/96 World Cup season in 89th place in the overall World Cup ranking. In the following two years he started again exclusively in the Continental Cup, but ended his active ski jumping career unsuccessfully in 1998.
