Pólya Prize
The Pólya Prize , named after George Pólya , is an award in the field of mathematics given by the London Mathematical Society .
The prize is awarded in the years in which no De Morgan Medal is awarded and is, after this, the second most important award of the LMS. The award is open to UK residents only , excluding De Morgan Medalists.
In addition to the usual requirement for outstanding performance in mathematics prizes, the Pólya Prize can also be awarded for a particularly impressive presentation or special creativity.
