Płotno

Płotno ( German  Blankensee ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . It belongs to the Gmina Pełczyce (Bernstein municipality) in the Choszczeński powiat (Arnswald district) .

Geographical location

The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 60 km southeast of Stettin and about 30 km southeast of Stargard . The Voivodship Road 151 runs through the village .

history

Blankensee has been a political estate district since the 19th century . In 1910 there were 268 inhabitants in the Blankensee estate.

Blankensee later formed a rural community . In 1925 the rural community of Blankensee had 398 inhabitants in 83 households. Until 1945 the municipality of Blankensee belonged to the Pyritz district in the Prussian province of Pomerania . The residential areas Charlottenhof and Kuckmühle also existed in the community .

In 1945, Blankensee, like all areas east of the Oder-Neisse line , came to Poland. Blankensee received the Polish place name "Płotno".

  • Ernst Achaz von Wedel (1825–1896), landlord on Blankensee and member of the Prussian manor house
  • Hermann von Wedel (1848–1913), Prussian lieutenant general and commander of the 9th Division
