history
The one-man company founded by Udo Hamm in 1984 sells its own CAE software with the associated hardware and services in Darmstadt, initially as a GbR and later as a GmbH . By concentrating on IBM systems, PROFI became an IBM business partner in 1986 and developed into a Unix specialist for all aspects of IBM RS / 6000 systems.
The company has been operating as a stock corporation since June 2000 and Udo Hamm becomes CEO of PROFI Engineering Systems AG. In the meantime, the company was bought up by m + s Elektronik AG , but after its insolvency it became independent again through a buyout.
In 2009 Lutz Hohmann, responsible for finance and human resources, was elected to the board.
In 2015, Udo Hamm took over the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board. Manfred Lackner is appointed CEO.
In 2017, Stefan Langhirt (Sales and Business Operations) and Matthias Kohlhardt (Service Business) were appointed to the Management Board.
In 2020 Stefan Langhirt and Matthias Kohlhardt will leave the board.
