The magazine PS - full name PS - the magazine for sporty motorcyclists - is a general- interest magazine for motorcyclists and appears monthly by the publishing house Motor Presse Stuttgart GmbH & Co. KG . The publisher also publishes the sister magazines Motorrad , Motorrad Classic and Fuel . Michael Pfeiffer is the editor-in-chief for the entire range of publications.

Editorial layout

The magazine distinguishes itself from the renowned and, according to its own statements, largest magazine of its kind in Europe for this target group, MOTORRAD (original spelling), in that it focuses on sporty motorcycles. The focus of the reporting is on tests and technology of sports motorcycles as well as high-performance naked bikes . These contributions are supplemented by articles on the topics of tuning and accessories and reporting on racing with a focus on road races . The language of the text also stands out from the mostly objective, objective one of the sister magazine. In its own presentation, PS describes itself as ... the magazine that offers fast drivers all the important sporting aspects of uncompromising motorcycling.

In addition to the text, the PS also stands out in terms of the imagery and layout from MOTORRAD, which is considered serious. Headlines and texts are often gaudy, colorful and striking in the manner of the boulevard . The photo series also underline this character.

PS readers' choice

Since 1991, the magazine's readers have been voting for the best sports bikes. In eight categories, the best motorcycles from the reader's point of view will be chosen both by online voting and by postcard. For several years, the choice is still to vote on the best marks ( " Brands adds") in the accessories and motorcycle clothing. In 2017, 16,512 readers took part in the vote. The categories are currently the following:

The sister magazine MOTORRAD also lets its readers vote annually. The choice of motorcycle of the year is broader, however, and also includes categories outside of the sports segment, such as scooters .
