PTT ( Dutch Posterijen, Telegrafie en Telefonie ) was the public post and telecommunications company in the Netherlands .

history

The State Post and Telegraph Office (Staatsbedrijf der Posterijen en Telegrafie) was renamed in 1928 to Staatsbedrijf der Posterijen, Telegrafie en Telefonie , PTT for short . In 1989 it was privatized and in 1998 it was split up into the postal division PTT Post (today PostNL ) and the telecommunications division KPN .
