Pablo Campos (born November 29, 1983 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player .
Career
Campos played for the college teams at Oklahoma Baptist University and Fresno Pacific University during his college years . As a player at Fresno University, he was elected to the NAIA's All-American team in 2007. In 2007 the striker moved to Fresno Fuego in the Premier Development League . There he advanced to a regular goalscorer and got the title of top scorer with 18 goals this season in 15 games. He was also voted the league's Most Valuable Player . In his second season he proved his scoring ability and by the summer he scored 14 goals in ten appearances.
Due to Campo's success in the Premier Development League, GAIS became aware of the attacker and signed him in July 2008 together with Reuben Ayarna , another player from US college football. He received a contract with the Gothenburg club until the end of the season. First he was in the club's second team, where he recommended himself with three goals in six games for higher tasks. On September 24, he made his debut in the Allsvenskan in the 0-0 draw against Gefle IF . After eight goalless games, the club decided not to exercise the option to extend contracts with him and his Brazilian team-mate Matâo .
Back in the USA, Campos signed a contract with Major League Soccer and was raffled off among the interested league teams. The lot fell on the San José Earthquakes , for which he came to 14 missions before he was given up against two picks in the upcoming drafts to the league rivals Real Salt Lake . At the end of August, Campos was named Player of the Week after taking the 1-0 lead in his first two games in the Salt Lake starting XI. Ultimately, the breakthrough in the MLS was denied him.
In spring 2011 he therefore moved to the North American Soccer League for the Carolina RailHawks . There he scored 12 goals, making him one of the team's most successful goal scorers in the 2011 season.
In February 2012, he moved within the league to the San Antonio Scorpions . Again, he stayed only one season and then moved to Minnesota United .
