Pablo Coseriu

Pablo Coseriu (born June 4, 1958 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) is a Uruguayan-German lawyer and presiding judge at the Federal Social Court .

Life

Coseriu was born in Uruguay to an Italian and an Uruguayan. In February 1989 he received German citizenship.

At the beginning of his professional life, Coseriu worked as a lawyer. In 1990 he switched to the judicial service and initially became a probationary judge with a service mandate at the Kassel Social Court . From March 1993 to August 1993 he was seconded to the Thuringian Ministry of Justice . Meanwhile, in May 1993, he was appointed judge at the Kassel Social Court. From 1993 to 2006 he worked as a presidential judge at the Regional Social Court of Thuringia , where he was appointed judge in May 1995. Since October 1, 1998, he has been the presiding judge at the Thuringian State Social Court. On June 21, 2007, he was finally appointed judge at the Federal Social Court with effect from July 1, 2007 after State Secretary Kajo Wasserhövel handed over the certificate of appointment . On June 20, 2017, he was appointed presiding judge at the Federal Social Court. He was appointed chairman of the 7./8. Responsible for matters of social welfare and the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
