Pha Dampa Sangye ( Wylie : pha dam pa sangs rgyas ; † 1117 ) was a Buddhist Mahasiddha from South India, who toured large parts of India, China and Tibet. In the Qomolangma located village of Tingri (Ch. Dingri ) he founded the monastery Dingri Langkhor .
The two sects Zhibyed ( Chinese 希 解 派 , Pinyin Xijie pai ) and Gcodyul ( Chinese 觉 域 派 or 觉 宇 派 , Pinyin Jueyu pai ) of Tibetan Buddhism have their origins in his teachings.
