The Pagano Nunatak is a distinctive, pointed, isolated and 1830 m high nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 13 km east of the Hart Hills and 130 km north-northeast of the Ford massif .
The American geologist Edward C. Thiel roughly mapped it in the course of a reconnaissance flight on December 13, 1959 along the 88th west longitude. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1962 after Chief Warrant Officer Gerald Pagano (1913-1981) of the United States Army , who was a member of the planning and command of the United States Navy support units in Antarctica from 1960 to 1965.
