The Pagelsee is a lake in the municipality of Kratzeburg in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The lake has the shape of an omega (Ω) open to the south and is 2100 meters long and up to 350 meters wide. The north shore of the lake borders the Boeker Forst forest . The hilly peninsula in the south is also forested. The rest of the south bank is flat and unforested. The peninsula can be reached via a pedestrian bridge from the Kratzeburg district of Krienke on the south-western tip of the lake.
Between the Granziner See and the Pagelsee, the Havel is a stream forced into a narrow channel. Driving on the course of the stream is not permitted in this section, a lorry running parallel on the east side for boat transport enables this route to be bypassed.
The lake is located in the Müritz National Park .
