The Painted Lake ( English for Angemalter See ) is a 22.6 hectare and permanently frozen lake in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It lies at the western base of the North Masson Range in the Framnes Mountains .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it based on the naming of the neighboring Painted Peak .
