Pak Chol-ryong (born November 3, 1988 ) is a North Korean football player .

Career

Pak joined the Swiss second division club FC Concordia Basel in summer 2008 . The transfer came about through the cooperation of a company called Friends of Korea , whose partner is Concordia President Glaser, with the North Korean Football Association . According to this cooperation, the company owns the transfer rights for Europe to all senior national team and Olympic selection players in North Korea. In addition to Pak, his compatriot Kim Kuk-jin was also signed, both signed a three-year contract. The two were looked after by former North Korean FIFA referee Son O-il. After Concordia withdrew from Swiss professional football at the end of the season, Pak returned to North Korea.

Pak took part in 2005 as a player of the Kigwancha Sports Club with the North Korean U-17 selection at the U-17 World Cup in Peru. He came on a brief assignment in the round of 16. In 2008 he was part of the North Korean senior team at the AFC Challenge Cup in India and made two appearances during the tournament.
