Kim Kuk-jin (born January 5, 1989 ) is a North Korean football player .
Career
society
Kim joined the Swiss second division club FC Concordia Basel in summer 2008 . The transfer came about through the cooperation of a company called Friends of Korea , whose partner is Concordia President Glaser, with the North Korean Football Association . According to this cooperation, the company owns the transfer rights for Europe to all senior national team and Olympic selection players in North Korea. In addition to Kim, his compatriot Pak Chol-ryong was also signed, both signed a three-year contract. The two are looked after by former North Korean FIFA referee Son O-il.
After the license withdrawal and the associated forced relegation of Concordia Basel at the end of the 2008/09 season, he received a new contract with the second division club FC Wil . For this he completed 20 league games by the end of 2010 before returning to North Korea.
National team
Kim took part in 2005 as a player in the Pyongyang sports group with the North Korean U-17 selection at the U-17 World Cup in Peru. He was used in the quarter-finals in all three preliminary round games and scored two goals, but was suspended for the quarter-finals against Brazil after being sent off in the last preliminary round match.
In 2006 he and his team won the U-19 Asian Championship by triumphing over Japan in the final. As a result, they were also qualified for the 2007 Junior World Championships in Canada, which took place a year later , in which Kim also took part and made three appearances in the preliminary round. In 2007 he failed with the Olympic selection (U-23) in the final qualifying round to Australia and Iraq. In December 2009, he took part in the East Asian Games soccer tournament with the Olympic team.
In 2008 Kim was part of the North Korean senior team at the AFC Challenge Cup in India. He also played in both first round games of the World Cup qualification against Mongolia and scored one goal.
