The North Korean U-17 national soccer team is a selection team of North Korean soccer players . It is subject to the North Korean Football Association and represents it internationally at the U-17 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at the U-16 Asian Cup and the U-17 World Cup .

The team became Asian champions in 2010 and 2014 and vice-Asian champions in 2004 and 2006 . So far she has qualified three times for the World Cup. In 2005 she lost in the quarterfinals to the reigning world champion and eventual finalist Brazil . In 2007 in South Korea she was defeated in the round of 16 against eventual runner-up world champions Spain . In 2011 she was eliminated in the preliminary round, where she played in a group with eventual world champions Mexico .
