The Qatari U-17 national soccer team is a selection team of Qatari soccer players . It is subject to the Qatar Football Association and represents it internationally at the U-17 level , for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, at U-16 Asian championships and U-17 world championships .
The team was Asian champion in 1990 and vice-Asian champion five times, once they reached third place.
Her best result at world championships was fourth place in 1991 in Italy . She lost in the semi-finals against eventual world champions Ghana on penalties and then lost in the game for third place, also on penalties, to Argentina . In 1987 and 1999 she reached the quarter-finals, but was eliminated against the Ivory Coast and the eventual runner-up world champion Australia .
