The Palacete Seixas is a former city palace in the center of the Portuguese capital Lisbon .

history

The building stands in a prominent urban development location at the confluence of the avenue Avenida da Liberdade with Praça Marquês de Pombal . It was built from 1900 by order of Carmen Graziella Castilla da Rocha. In 1908 the industrialist Carlos Seixas bought the house. Instituto Camões has been the owner since 1997 .

The palace is a small two-story building in the neoclassical style . Its decorative elements show influences from French romanticism.
