The Palacio de los Condes de Gómara is a palace in Soria , the capital of the province of Soria in the autonomous region of Castile and León , built in the 16th century. The palace is a protected architectural monument ( Bien de Interés Cultural ).

History and description

The palace was built from 1577 to 1592 for Count Francisco López de Río y Salcedo. The Renaissance building is the most important secular building in the city of Soria. It has a facade made of stone blocks and a tower. The galleries of the patio will be supported by arches on pillars .

Portal with coat of arms

The magnificent portal is lined with two double columns. Above this is the builder's coat of arms, which is held by two warriors in Roman clothing.
