The Palacio de los Marqueses de Urriés is a palace in Ayerbe , a Spanish municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon , which was built in the 15th century. The building is centrally located on Plaza de Ramón y Cajal . It has been a protected architectural monument ( Bien de Interés Cultural ) since 1931 .

The palace was built by the most respected family in Ayerbe, the Marqueses de Urriés . It takes up an entire side of the central square. Hugo de Urriés was the builder of the building, which was built in the late Gothic and Renaissance styles .

The facade facing the square is crowned with battlements and flanked by towers at the corners. Some of the Gothic windows have recently been modernized. The coat of arms of the Marqueses de Urriés is placed above the arched portal . The upper floor has a gallery.

Inside, a magnificent staircase leads to the large reception room. Only small remains of the once remarkable furnishings of the palace have survived.

Todays use

A private music school has been housed in the palace since 2004.
