Palair Macedonian Airways ( Macedonian : виокомпанија or Палер Македонија ), also Palair or Palair Macedonian, was a Macedonian airline based at Skopje Airport and took up scheduled services on June 3, 1991.
fleet
Aircraft from the Fokker 100, Fokker 27 and Tupolew 154M series were used, which were initially painted white and later completely red. The scheduled flight business was given up in 1995 and charter flights continued until 1997.
Incidents
- On 5 March 1993 began one at the airport of Skopje takeoff Fokker 100 of palair on to vibrate and crashed after several strong tilting movements behind the runway; 83 of the 97 passengers lost their lives. The reason for the accident was the lack of aircraft de-icing (see also Palair-Macedonian Airways flight 301 ) .
