Palatica ( Macedonian Палатица , Albanian Pallatica / Pallaticë ) is a village in the north of North Macedonia , about 7 km west of Tetovo . It is located on the left side near the European route 65 between Tetovo and Skopje and belongs to the municipality of Želino .
The census carried out in 2002 found 2516 inhabitants for Palatica. 2501 of them (99.40%) are Albanians .
In January 2009 the construction of a new connection road from Tetovo to Palatica was announced, whereby the construction costs were put at 0.7 million euros .
