Palazzetto Costantini is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Dorsoduro sestiere overlooking the former Rio Terà ai Saloni (now an alley) next to the Magazzini del Sale .

description

The Palazzetto Costantini, a little-noticed building of modest dimensions, dates back to the Middle Ages .

The most distinctive element of the palace is its protrusion from the neighboring buildings, a trick the builders used to expand the space in the building beyond the alley (which was originally a canal that was built over in the 19th century). A wide, wooden vestibule with architrave opens on the ground floor , supported by an old and simple colonnade that dates from the 14th century.

The original architectural style of the palace was Gothic , but appears mixed today because of the later use of two triple arched windows in the middle of the two upper floors. These have changed the original approach.
